Yoga in the Yurt at Nature Space Resort (registration now open!)
Saturday Morning Gentle Hatha (Stretch & Reset):
This 4 week, 60 minute program takes place in one of our beautiful 20’ Mongolian yurts and runs from March 13-April 3, 2021. This is a temporary home until the main 30’ yoga yurt is built this spring. As such, space is very limited. This is a gentle hatha class perfect for beginners or those returning to yoga after an absence. Gentle hatha is the practice of postures without flow. The focus is on alignment and the breath. Each class ends with a short savasana.
Due to the small space and Covid restrictions, class size is limited to only 4 participants. For this reason class passes cannot be used for this program and participants register for the entire 4 week session. Any cancellations due to weather, family emergencies, illness or covid restrictions will be added onto the end of this program.
The class will be held at Nature Space Resort located at 631 St Peters Harbour Road each Saturday morning from 11am-12pm. Please bring your own mat. Props (like blocks and straps) are provided.
The cost of the 4 week, 60 minute program is $50 plus tax
Sunday Morning Fireside Yin (Stretch, Hold & Breathe):
This winter, Nature Space Yoga will be slowing things down by offering a weekly Yin Yoga practice in our brand new, beautiful Mongolian yurt. This 4 week, 90 minute program takes place in one of our beautiful 20’ Mongolian yurts. This is a temporary home for yoga until the main 30’ yoga yurt is built this spring. As such, space is very limited. The program runs from March 14-April 4, 2021.
Yin differs from flow (vinyasa) in that it is a slower, more meditative inward journey. Meant to stretch the connective tissue that lines the entire body, yin yoga poses are held for upwards of 5 minutes. Participants are coached through relaxing tension in their bodies and their minds, while props and assists are used to help students achieve deep tissue release. This beautiful, restorative practice is accessible for everyone, whether you are a beginner or an advanced yogi/yogini. Each class ends with a longer savasana (10-15 minute closing meditation).
Due to the small space and Covid restrictions, class size is limited to only 4 participants. For this reason class passes cannot be used for this program and participants need to register for the entire 4 week session. Any cancellations due to weather, illness, family emergencies, or covid restrictions will be added onto the end of each program.
The class will be held at Nature Space Resort located at 631 St Peters Harbour Road each Sunday morning from 10-11:30 am. A guided meditation/ relaxation takes place at the end of the class. Mats and all props including blankets, bolsters, blocks, straps, cushions, etc are provided. You only need to bring yourself (and perhaps a water bottle).
The cost of the 4 week program is $65 plus tax
